Dr. Carola Fuchs has studied mechanical engineering in Munich, Germany after a voluntary social year and made a PhD in biotechnology in Hamburg, Germany. After two more years of cultivating microorganisms to produce pharmaceutical products, she started to work as project manager in the development of drug delivery devices at Sanofi, Frankfurt, Germany and later at PARI, Starnberg, Germany and combined her engineering and pharmaceutical know-how. For the last 13 years she has been working in different affiliates of the PARI group always focusing on development of new medical products for respiratory diseases for launch in both Europe and USA. She was one of the first at PARI to engage with telemedicine and was responsible for the integration of data transfer features into PARI’s electronic nebulizers and the development of a company owned web portal for access to these data. She built up a worldwide network of collaborating physicians using PARI’s monitoring enabled devices within clinical trials and gained a lot of experience with therapy adherence monitoring. Since 2017 she is leading the e-Health group responsible for coordinating all work related to digital health within the PARI group and coordinates development of apps, web portals and connectivity issues for the nebulizer and diagnostic products of PARI and evaluates and manages collaboration partners.
